Boompa’s Gathering
The Inaugural South Texas Story Fire & Family Gathering
Since ancient times, families and friends have gathered around the fire to share stories—from the latest adventure to tales of creation and how humankind came to be. Fast-forward a few thousand years, and we decided it was time to rekindle that tradition by sharing old family stories about my buddy, Jerry “Boompa” Bacon, and a lifetime of making more companions—some related by blood and others who became family along the way. These stories are being shared simply for the fun of remembering, laughing, and keeping them alive. So pull up a chair and come along for the ride.
